Story:
As a first generation Haitian American, Jessica proclaims herself as legacy. She grew up as the youngest in a blended family of 14 siblings who were artists, songwriters, and producers. She became musically inclined as a violinist in the 2nd grade and played throughout her primary education, her home church and with the Fontana Honor Orchestra. While growing up Jessica’s leadership developed at Living Waters Church. She was given multiple opportunities to build soft skills at a young age, such as leading the choir, helping youth in children’s church, and showcasing her creative passion for music. Growing up in community with her family she became deeply interested in Human Development. Which then led her to study Psychology at the California State University of San Bernardino in which she graduated with a B.A in Psychology in 2016. Post college she became a TK teacher and then a Program Director for a nonprofit which focused on implementing music and arts education to underserved areas. During 2020, she was called to merge both of her worlds together to increase mindfulness through the evolution of music therapy with sound healing. She started a wellness company entitled “JessBeU” pronounced; just be you! Through these past 5 years she has infused her creativity into healing circles, workspace wellness programs, speaking engagements, mindfulness workshops and sound baths. Jessica knows she is divinely gifted and guided to honor her journey as a very unique and rewarding way to witness generational healing and unity in community. Her faith and relationship with God continues to provide a deep wisdom and knowing she is on the right pathway and wants to continue sharing her story to inspire others.
