Story
I have always loved quilting and have made a few for my children and more than I can remember as gifts for relatives and friends. I have experimented with photo fabric and am trying new techniques, as time allows. I am also a lover of fabric and have quite a collection. My quilting style is a combination of old-school tacking with yarn and any self-taught quilting style. An example of that style was me completing a wine-themed wall hanging by strategically embroidering the letters W, I, N, and E to tack the quilt.

My mother sewed for a living in one of many sewing factories in South Carolina. At home, she quilted and made our clothes on the sewing machine pictured for years! It is still operational, and I have earned the pleasure of using it when I visit my mother. I caught her sewing bug! My mom has been my biggest inspiration when it comes to quilting, sewing, and any crafting that involves fabric. She always found time to sew, even with eight kids to raise, a husband, and a household to maintain.

One of my greatest joys was having the opportunity to collaborate on a quilting project with my mother over the phone and have that creation displayed in my workplace as part of an art show.
