This photo of my grandparents shows my grandfather doing my grandmother’s hair- a quiet, beautiful moment that speaks volumes. They were married for 40 years, and their love was my first example of what true care and commitment look like.

This is more than a photo— it’s a celebration of Black love: patient, tender, and rooted in trust. Their love shaped me, and I carry it with me always.
