Story:
I come from a big family. Within my own generation, there’s no more than 2 to 3 years between each cousin. The first photo – was a photo I took from my senior thesis, showcasing the people that live within my household (at that time). The second picture, shows my mom holding her youngest brother, while sitting next to our cousin. Growing up, I was used to a mix of ages and being able to recount on “who is who” with these photos. If my family wasn’t so determined to keep these memories around – I’m not sure if my love for photos; would still be the same as it is today. I make art, based around Black people, so that way everybody can feel a little piece of me in the art that I make.
