Story:
"Creativity runs deep in my DNA, a legacy passed down from my father, Ollie McLaughlin. In the late ’50s and ’60s, he was a pioneer—first as a radio DJ with one of the nation’s earliest jazz programs, then as a visionary record label owner, shaping the music industry under McLaughlin Publishing. His trailblazing spirit inspired me to forge my own path, founding McLaughlin Media, the next generation in 2004.

I began by creating mobile content—ringtones, wallpapers, and short-form videos—for international markets in Japan and Finland. This early work immersed me in digital innovation long before the explosion of mobile media. Then, in 2010, I was called to serve the public sector, becoming the original architect of the City of Detroit’s digital and social media presence under the Bing administration.

As leadership shifted, my journey came full circle. Rooted in cultural arts and deeply connected with artists, changemakers, and cultural institutions, I transitioned back into entrepreneurship—this time with a mission. My work continues to bridge digital media, storytelling, and community empowerment, building on the foundation my father laid decades ago."
