Lidia López Esono

Story: These two are very special memories from my first trip ever, last year, to my home country. Even though I am from Equatorial Guinea, I was born and raised in Spain, and I’ve never been in Equatorial Guinea until last year. It was amazing to see where my roots come from and meet family members that I’ve never seen in person. The woman in the picture is my grandma. I have always spoken to her on the phone, and that was my first time meeting her. Unfortunately, she has now Alzheimer's so it was emotionally hard to meet her knowing she doesn’t remember who I am. The other image is at the beach, and I remember seeing the fisherman just arriving from fishing, it felt so homie, so I decided to snap that with my camera as well.
