Story: My creative legacy started long before I ever picked up a sketchpad or designed my first bag. It started with my dad. He was a quiet force—disciplined, driven, and deeply intentional. I didn’t realize it then, but watching him navigate life with purpose and resilience shaped how I see the world, and how I move through it as a creative.
When we lost him due to gun violence in 2008, I knew I couldn’t let his story end there. The foundation I created in his name is about carrying his spirit forward—about giving others the same kind of opportunity, guidance, and belief he gave me.
Foreign Closet (my fashion business) was born from that same space: a need to make something meaningful. Not just beautiful bags, but pieces that say something, that hold memory and movement. Every drop, every campaign, every photo is layered with story. It’s not just about fashion—it’s about identity, legacy, and being bold enough to take up space.
The images I create now—whether it’s a campaign shot or a graphic for a new drop—are always informed by that history. They’re visual reminders of where I come from and who I do this for. This work isn’t just mine. It’s his too. And that’s the legacy I want to leave behind—one that’s deeply personal, but built to inspire others to show up fully in their own story.
