This summer, we’re gathering under the stars to celebrate Black stories with Alfreda’s Cinema Open Air Film Series, happening June through October in Brooklyn’s parks and sacred green spaces.

We The Diaspora is proud to be a community sponsor for this series, uplifting Black- and POC-centered stories in public parks across Brooklyn. Alfreda’s Cinema offers free, accessible screenings of films about Black and POC experiences, a mission deeply aligned with our own commitment to preserving and amplifying Black stories.
